Job Overview:

As a Heidelberg Die Cutter Operator, you will play a key role in our production team by operating and maintaining Heidelberg die cutters, ensuring precision and quality in every job. You will review job specifications, measure and calculate cutting positions, and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.

Shift Details:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct daily operation and maintenance of Heidelberg die cutters, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Review job specifications to determine page sequence, folding requirements, and sheet size.
• Measure sheet edges to calculate incremental cutting positions and input these into the equipment's computer system.
• Align and jog paper sheets on the cutter bed for precision cutting.
• Modify machine settings and computer programs as needed to maintain product accuracy and quality.
• Stack finished or pre-finished materials on pallets for shipping or subsequent operations.
• Replace cutting knives, lubricate machinery, and maintain equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
• Document job details on load tags and time sheets for operational accuracy.
• Keep the workstation neat and organized, complying with all safety and operational regulations.
• Assist the Bindery Team Lead with additional tasks as required.

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience operating die cutters and printing/bindery equipment is strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64".
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting job specifications and instructions.
• Basic math skills for calculating cutting positions and measurements.
• Familiarity with computerized equipment and ability to make precise adjustments.
• Strong focus on quality control to ensure product standards are met.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and workplace regulations.
